What is Totalink?

Totalink is a search engine and directory all about you, the user. Our search results and category listings are positioned according to user popularity (your votes and visits). We call it the “You Say What’s Best” directory because you get to say what is best and worst of the web. So, search for what you want and know that you are getting the best as recommended by our users.

Totalink’s mission is to be a portal for you to express yourself. Have you written a great article you want to share with the world? Have you built an awesome site you want to show off? Do you wish you could cast a vote or write reviews about web sites to say what you think about them? How about discussing subjects you’re interested in? You can do all that and more right here. So go ahead and do it, express yourself!

The Totalink structure is built around you, the user getting what you want out of your online experience. Unlike other search engines that create their own page rank formulas to give you what they think you want. Totalink has a very simple page ranking system, it’s called you. Our page ranking for searches and the directory listings are based on popularity. The sites you vote for and visit come up higher in searches and category listings.

 

What can I do at Totalink?

• Submit a site - if you the web master or creator of a great site? Submit it, get it into the Totalink directory and promote your site. Don’t have a web site, don’t let that stop you, as an Internet user you know what sites you like and don’t like. Submit your favorites to the Totalink directory and submit sites you think stink to the TotalStink directory.

• Vote & Review - want to get more involved than adding a site to the directory? You can also express what you think about sites and articles by voting and reviewing them. At the bottom of every listing you’ll find a “vote” and “review” link you can follow to cast your vote and rate that entry from 1 to 10 and read reviews or write your own.

• Write an article – are you knowledgeable about a particular subject and want to share your knowledge with a large audience? Write an article and submit it to us and we will publish it on the web. Maybe you have already written an article and need an outlet for people to view it, submit it and link it to your website if you have one. Bloggers are welcome too, promote your blog, submit your article and link it to your blog; it’s a great way for readers to find you.

• Discussion forums – post your thoughts in our forums and connect with like-minded people that want to discuss what your interested in. There are many subjects to submit a new topic to and start a discussion.

• Search and discover – search and find what you want. You can search our directory categories, what’s new, what’s popular and a site search from the top of any page. What’s great is no matter where you search, you are always getting the top listings recommended by our users.
