Four Color Process Plastisol Ink – CMYK Colors – For High-Detail Simulated Process

Four Color Process Plastisol Ink (PFPC Series) is transparent process ink for photorealistic printing — cyan, magenta, yellow and black, overprinted as halftones to build full-color images from four screens.

What process ink is for

Process is not spot color. It is transparent by design — the colors mix optically on the shirt as overlapping halftone dots. That is what lets four screens produce a photograph.

• Photorealistic prints — images, portraits, gradients
• Fewer screens — four colors instead of twelve spot separations
• Smooth gradients — halftone blending, no banding

Substrate & underbase

Process ink is transparent, so it needs something to sit on. On white garments, print direct. On anything else, you need a white underbase — otherwise the shirt colour shows straight through and the image goes muddy.

Underbase with 5-Star Bright White CQ (PFBR) for dark or blend garments — it blocks dye migration as well as giving you a white ground.

How to run it

Mesh	230–305 — process needs fine mesh to hold the dot
Squeegee	70–75 durometer, sharp edge
Underbase	Required on anything but white
Flash	250°F (121°C) for 3–5 seconds
Cure	320–330°F (160–165°C)
Clean-up	OPTIWASH 125 Ink Remover
Storage	65–90°F (18–32°C), sealed, out of direct sun
Shelf life	12 months from manufacture

Process is the least forgiving ink we sell. Mesh, off-contact and dot gain all matter more than they do on spot color. If you are new to it, test before you commit a run.
